Each system is the result of many years of research and development, with the aim of providing optimal conditions for the coexistence of fish and plants. This enables water and nutrients to be effectively recycled in a closed cycle, reducing the need for external resources and ensuring a high level of self-sufficiency.

We offer a variety of system models, from compact family units to larger commercial installations. Our systems are adaptable to different spatial requirements and can work in different environments - from urban courtyards to school gardens or restaurants. In addition, our systems can be adapted to operate as energy independent, further reducing the environmental footprint and operating costs.

VERTICAL TOWER SYSTEM

It enables a 10 or more times larger crop on the same surface compared to conventional cultivation.
 
The unique system of dosing water, otus flower to the plants enables an even distribution of water circulation 
and thus an ideal supply of plants with nutrients.
The water flows through the inner parts of the vertical towers into the growth beds with Maifan sand, where it is further purified and enriched with minerals before returning to the fish pond.

SATILU MEDIALESS CUP

We insert the seed directly into the nest of the media-free cup, where the seed germinates and grows into the finished product of leafy vegetables (salads, condiments,...)
Without a medium such as soil, coconut fiber or stone wool, the seed germinates in 2-3 days and grows with the help of water and nutrients produced by the fish. 
This saves a lot of time and avoids the stress that the plant experiences when it is moved from one medium and environment to another.

GROWING BED AND SYSTEM WITH MAIFAN SAND

In grow beds, you can sow seeds as you plant other plants, including tubers and fruiting vegetables such as cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and even strawberries. The growing beds can also be used for sprouting seedlings, which are later transferred to the cups of the vertical tower.
The medium used in the growing beds is highly mineral sand with exceptional filtering capabilities and is full of useful mineral substances for better plant growth and additional water purification.

– Is a series of calcareous-alkaline rocks derived from magma, partially weathered porphyry among volcanic rocks

– Its complex hollow structure enables high biological activity and stable dissolution as well as good adsorption and degradation

– They cause the activation of ions in the water, increasing the content of oxygen ions

– Adsorption of water ions, ammonium nitrogen and harmful bacteria, also adsorbs residues and feces that the adsorption filter cannot remove

– Stabilizes the pH value of the water, ensures water filtration and water quality control

– Enables the culture of digestive bacteria (nitrifying bacteria) that convert NO2- and NH4+ into NO3-.

TILAPIA

We are currently the only one in Slovenia that commercially grows tilapia in an aquaponic system.
 
Tilapia is high in vitamin B12, which helps the body form DNA, maintain the nervous system and produce red blood cells. 
It is also low in saturated fat, omega-3 fatty acids, calories, carbohydrates and sodium, which makes it a recommended healthy meal especially for children, athletes,... and anyone who strives for a healthy diet.
 
Advantages of growing tilapia in aquaponics
Nutrient cycling: Tilapia plays a key role in nutrient cycling in an aquaponic system. 
Their waste (feces and urine) become a valuable source of nutrients for plants and create a self-sustaining ecosystem where the waste is converted into nutrients for plant growth.
 
  • Fast Growth: Tilapia are known for their fast growth, making them an excellent choice for aquaponics. They reach fishable size quickly so you can enjoy a consistent supply of fish.

FILTRATION SYSTEM

We are using a top-notch filtration system for mechanical and biological water treatment. 
This ensures clean water for our fish while also providing the appropriate structure and amount of nutrients for our plants.
 
The fiberglass filters embody the latest fiberglass winding technology.
The Micron series filters are made from anti-corrosive, non-toxic materials and are designed to withstand high flow rates and pressures.
A high-performance eco pump system provides the necessary water flow needed for the supply of fish and plants.
 
By using UV water disinfection, we ensure that the return water going back to the fish is cleared of all bacteria.

We improve photosynthesis and protect plants from harmful UV rays
We capture ultraviolet light and turn it into blue and red, which improve photosynthesis and thus accelerate plant growth.🙂
